The Dalton School Partners with Global Online Academy for Professional Development
In partnership with Global Online Academy (GOA), Dalton is providing school leaders with a five-part leadership foundation course.
The course, which runs from November through February, commits to developing and strengthening leadership skills for both existing and emerging leaders. Programming will cover five key competencies:
Facilitating Human-Centered meetings
Thinking in Systems
Communicating Effectively Across Multiple Modalities
Making Decisions in the Face of Ambiguity
Aligning Vision to Strategy and Tactics
The first round of training comprised 21 leaders, including divisional teams, staff leaders, and K-12 department chairs.
Director of Community and Global Partnerships and Interim Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Yom Fox and Director of Professional Growth and Strategic Engagement Dan Musick organized the course to provide further opportunities for department chairs, grade-level leaders, and staff leaders, and those interested in leadership development.
