FP Students Make Braille Cards for Students at The Lavelle School for the Blind
First Program students gathered on Friday, May 19 to make braille cards for students at The Lavelle School for the Blind. Braille alphabet boards were provided so that students could feel how to make letters. Students then used lentils, beans, and pasta to write words and make designs.
Lavelle's Program Director Deni Fraser gave an engaging interactive presentation, using special teaching tools, and shared a message from their students: “We are just like you!” Thank you to everyone who participated and to our wonderful PA Community Service Committee for organizing the event!
