This week, Seniors Haeon Lee '24 and Sam Wiedman '24, in the High School History Capstone class, took to the Dalton archives. Archivist Kris Santos led the students in an investigation of artifacts found in our Dalton collections. Students applied the research skills they acquired in High School to work with real artifacts,  hypothesizing about the utility of the sources and discussing the process of collecting the school's history. Later in November, the students will take an archival trip to the YIVO Archives at the Center for Jewish History to apply the skills they practiced in the Dalton Archives. 

The Capstone Project, open to Seniors in the fall semester, provides an opportunity for students to utilize their existing skills to expand upon their research techniques and dispositions in pursuit of original historical research and project completion.
