HS Students Attend the Friendship and Politics Conference at the Hannah Arendt Center
Earlier this month, 15 high school students attended the Hannah Arendt Center (HAC) for Politics and Humanities annual conference at Bard College in Dutchess County, NY. The theme of this year's conference was "Friendship and Politics."
HAC conferences address contemporary issues from multiple disciplinary perspectives. The program consists of a series of lectures and panel discussions featuring prominent historians, journalists, political theorists, and public intellectuals. Students had opportunities to engage directly with the speakers, High School/college students and faculty from other schools through Q&As, breakout sessions, coffee breaks, and more.
The HAC is named in honor of Hannah Arendt, one of the foremost political philosophers of the twentieth century.
