Artist Vickie Frémont Inspires Students To Make Art in French
French-Cameroonian artist and anthropologist, Vickie Frémont, visited Madame Albino’s High School French classes to cultivate their creativity en français. She facilitated a workshop prompting students to create a collage of images that spoke to their environment, personal lives, and aesthetics. In addition, students were given a blank canvas as a way to reflect on how negative space functions in relation to other images, prompting questions like: How does blank space function in its relationship to the other images? What are the questions that it brings? What does it hide and what does it bring forth?
