Last week, with an Ancient Worlds, Modern Communities grant awarded through the SCS Committee on Classics in the Community, Jonathan Henkin ‘25 and Spencer Yang ‘25 hosted a Classics event to promote interest in the study of Latin, Greek, and the Ancient World.
With the Classics Club, they hosted Professor Candida Moss P'27 to give a lecture on her most recent research.

Candida Moss is the Edward Cadbury Professor of Theology at the University of Birmingham and a Research Associate at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World at New York University. She is the multi-award-winning author of nine books, including her most recent work, God’s Ghostwriters: Enslaved Christians and the Making of the Bible (2024). Professor Moss spoke about the enslaved scribes of the Roman and Greek empires and their silent voices in the writings of these famed writers.
