Mariachi Band Brings Music to the Halls of 89th Street
In advance of Mexican Independence Day, Real de Mexico gave surprise pop-up performances throughout the 89th Street building for Middle and High School students this week.
Real de Mexico is a mariachi ensemble led by master musician Ramon Ponce, who has decades of experience performing and teaching mariachi music from Mexico in the New York City metropolitan area. Real de Mexico is a critically acclaimed ensemble that promotes mariachi music and performs at major venues, including an upcoming performance at Carnegie Hall.
