Dalton Families Volunteer at PA's Grassroots Grocery Produce Party
In mid-December, Dalton families braved the cold weather for a morning of community service in the Bronx.
We joined with a total of 178 volunteers to unload a truck with 11,543 pounds of fresh produce. We then sorted the produce and loaded cars for delivery reaching more than 1,500 families across 26 communities in The Bronx, Harlem, and Upper Manhattan.
From our youngest kindergartener volunteer to the grown-ups, it was an impactful morning of service and community building. We look forward to more Grassroots Grocery events this year!
