Audience members piled into the dance studio and packed the mezzanine to witness Studio Works on Thursday, February 5.
Students from Hip-Hop & West African Dance, Jazz Dance, Intermediate Dance Technique, Contemporary Dance and Improvisation, and Advanced Dance Technique classes gathered to present dances encompassing a wide range of choreographic styles and movement genres. The spirited student performances were executed with skill and finesse!
Studio Works offers students a platform for showcasing their talents in a relaxed, community-driven setting, while also offering a glimpse into the diverse curricula across our Dalton Dance classrooms. This year’s performance celebrated a milestone with the presentation of our first student-choreographed work-in-progress piece — a duet created by one of our sophomore dance students — highlighting the growing role of student voice and artistic leadership within the program.
We extend our gratitude to everyone who joined us for the event. Bravo to all participants of Studio Works!
