Dalton’s Federation qualifiers included Maggie Bassey ’26 (Triple Jump), Kannon Hunter ’26 (Long Jump, High Jump), the girls 4x200 relay made up of seniors Annika Maduraperuma and Margaret Bassey, junior Sabrina Marra, and freshman Maya Matsubara, and the boys 4x800 relay featuring seniors Gabe Ponichter, Holden MacDougall, and Sam Shapiro alongside junior Christopher Schaaf.

Record-Breaking Weekend for Dalton Track at NYS Federations
Dalton Track competed at the NYS Federation Championships at Ocean Breeze this past weekend, delivering an impressive showing .
Dalton Indoor Track delivered another historic performance at the NYS Federation Championships at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.
Senior Kannon Hunter cleared 6’7 in the High Jump, setting a new Dalton record and finishing 4th in New York State. The boys 4x800 relay also broke their own school record again, running 4:17.60, an incredible 11 seconds faster than last week. The girls 4x200 relay continued their standout season, lowering the Dalton record to 1:46.60 and finishing 3rd in Division II (5th overall).
