On a glorious Saturday afternoon the Dalton Tigers competed at the Ivy Championships. The girls finished second for the eighth straight year and the boys had their best finish in the history of the program, coming in 3rd place with 92 points. Rachel Burris set the meet record in the pole vault, clearing 7`7. Kat Finerty won the discus and javelin. Jenny Mancino won the high jump for an unprecedented third straight year. Marisa Kefalidis took first in the hurdles and second in the triple jump with a school record leap of 34`7. Danielle Levin came in second in the 400 hurdles in a school record time of 1:14.1. The boys had a tremendous day of their own. Meka Echebiri broke the school mark in winning the shot put with a toss of 47`6. Bobby Weinstein won the javelin for the third straight year and Adam Silverschotz finished second. The 4x400 relay team of Brandon Duick, Sterling Watford, Khaleed Alston and Jeff Weinstein came in second, less than a second off the school mark.
