Dalton's opener in the Hudson Valley Football League was a success as they defeated last year's champions, the Harvey School, 22-7. This was Dalton first ever league game in the HVFL, just having joined the league this year. The offense started to get untracked against Harvey with Corey Benson leading the way, rushing for 2 touchdowns and passing to Matt Sussman on a halfback option for an 18 yard TD pass. Michael Thomas added a PAT along with Scott Lexton who scored his on a pass from Sam Pressman. Corey rushed for 119 yards on 14 carries. Ricky Pellegrini added 90 yards on 13 carries. Altogether, Dalton rushed for 283 yards. Sam Kelly was once again a standout with 10 tackles and 2 sacks. Ricky Pellegrini, Adam Silvershotz and Michael Rosen each added a sack of the QB. This was another strong defensive effort with Harvey scoring only with a little more than a minute to go.
