Parents and their children came to listen to and discuss stories representing the vibrant and diverse background of Dalton’s families at the PA’s Share Our Stories on November 16, 2006. It was also a night of bookmark making, pizza eating and entertaining storytelling by Susan Wu, an environmental educator at Bank Street, and many Dalton parents who shared their own stories. Parent readers included:, Diana Bromfield, Daryl Jordan-Davis, Eugene Ferrer, Susan Fox, Maria Giacchino, Kent Hikida, Michael Franko, Claire Hannon-Radomisli, Sami Saghie, Heather Schechter, and Cecilia Vonderheide, Rebecca Weller, and Natalie Williams. We send a special thanks to the committee chairs Sarah Woods, Caitlin Thomas and Claire Hannon-Radomisli for planning a wonderful event. A list of the books, which covered various cultures and religions, overcoming diversity, different family types and even different languages, can be found below.
