On February 6th, after
months of preparation, the high school’s Curriculum Committee hosted the annual
Co-Curricular Day.Students had the
opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers who discussed their field of
work.Speakers included Dalton alumni Simon
Rich, Marci Klein, and Jason Pinter, a humorist and writer for Saturday Night
Live, a producer at Saturday Night Live, and a novelist, respectively.Others included US Secret Service Special
Agents Rafael Prieto, Kent McCarthy and Sydney Dreasky; Google New Business
Development member Mary Himinkool; Senior Articles Editor for Vanity Fair Aimée
Bell; investment banker Thomas Russo; President of the Center for
Constitutional Rights Michael Ratner; Grammy winning music producer John
Leventhal; presidents of Kooba Bags, Abbe Held and Lynn Pincus; criminal
attorney Leslie Cornfeld; private investor Douglas Sacks; physician Dr. Ben
Lewis; architect Kent Hikida; McDonalds entrepreneur Irwin Kruger;
entertainment attorney David Levin; renowned drummer Ricky Marotta; and
documentary filmmaker Murray Lerner.
Following the morning sessions,
students and faculty gathered in the Martin Theater to hear from Keynote
speaker, and Dalton alumnus, Anderson Cooper.The respected television news anchor received a warm welcome and spoke
to the packed theater, including in his speech anecdotes from his time as a
Dalton student, reflections on his experiences as a foreign and domestic
correspondent, and addressing current news stories, including Super Tuesday,
which took place the day before.The
audience was also given a chance to engage in a Q&A session with Mr.
Cooper, leading to an informative and exciting discourse.Mr. Cooper’s presentation was received with

Congratulations to the Curriculum
Committee Heads, Tommy Evans and Andrew Swift, the entire Curriculum Committee
