First Graders are National Chess Champs!
Over the weekend, Dalton first graders became national champions! Hudson Beaudoin won five games, drew two, and tied for second place individually. Third graders came in second place, second graders came in fourth (tied for third), and our seventh grade team also came in fourth.
Thanks to our supportive parents and are incomparable team of coaches (GM Miron Sher, WGM Alla Grinfeld and WIM Beatriz Marinello) who went over and above expectations in helping our team.
Chess teacher David MacEnulty says, "We now look toward the National Elementary Chess Championships in Atlanta this May."
