The sleep-deprived seniors who took part (having just enjoyed their Ponderosa overnight) were surprisingly lucid; operating on only a few hours of sleep, as they joined their club colleagues to knead flour and eggs into perfectly plump, pasta dough to be later passed through the presses and stuffed with goat cheese, prosciutto, peas and spices.
