5th Grade Mesopotamian Mud Bricks
As part of their study of the ancient Near East, the 5th grade created mud bricks in much the same way that the Ancient Mesopotamians did.
Each house was divided into groups and each group was given the "recipe" for making the bricks. Then each group decided how to divide their labor in order to complete the task. They used prepared molds and mixed water, dirt, clay and straw. A messy fun time was had by all.
