Dalton Takes 4th Place at the Science Olympiad
The Science Olympiad team had an outstanding finish this year. Dalton Team A was the 4th place team (out of 44 teams) and Dalton was the 4th place school! Because of this placement, we will advance to the State Tournament.
This is a significant improvement compared to last year when we were the 7th place team and 6th place school. Team A had 11 top ten placements, including 9 top five placements out of 18 events. Teams B anc C had an additional 6 top 10 placements. 43 students participated on 3 SciO teams this year and 25 placed in the top 10 on at least one event.
The culture of the team has continued to improve this year and many more students have increased pride in their work. This is partly due to the tremendous support of all who have helped to mentor them along the way.
The students all had a great time at the competition and are looking forward to States!
