The annual MS Shakepeare Insult contest was, again, the highlight of the assembly day. The 7th and 8th grade Acting classes prepared genuine insults from Shakespeare's plays and faced off against one another before sending 16 finalists to the competition. This year, a musical interlude was provided by the 7tha and 8th Grade String Ensemble between the semi-finals and the final round (with a solo by Olivia Miller). In the final round, 8th graders Wolf Hertzberg and Emma Levine both delivered rousing and witty insults and the final decision was a close one. Wolf emerged as the winner for 2012.
