Spring Fair - 2012 Dodges the Raindrops
Friday, May 25, 2012 - The rain actually stopped falling, and a glimmer of sunlight shown through, as the annual Spring Fair - 2012 poured onto 91st Street once again. The theme, "It's a Jungle Out There" was echoed throughout the fair, from logo t-shirts to several evocative signs, and four animal mascots, including the Dalton Tiger.
The scrumptious aroma of popcorn blending with cotton candy filled the air, along with sounds of happy children bouncing around jungle-themed, inflated attractions. The midway featured many familiar games of skill, chess and the famous dunk-the-middle-schooler dunk tank.
Many thanks to the Parents Association Volunteers, Middle School student volunteers, and Dalton's hard working staff for making this year's fair a special one. A raffle concluded the festivities as 91st Street retreated to its familiar calm.
