The National Geographic Society recognized Ryan as one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2014 New York State National Geographic Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek. The competition will held this Friday, April 4 at the New York State Museum, Cultural Education Center in Albany. The winners of the state Bee will represent NY in the national finals at National Geographic headquarters, May 19 - 21.
