Second graders visited Harlem to learn about the rich history of this distinct New York City neighborhood and its many contributions to global culture. Neil, their tour guide, was born and raised in Harlem. The students walked its historic streets and explored the history of one of America’s most fabled communities. They experienced a mix of Harlem sights including churches, jazz clubs, speakeasies, elegant neighborhoods, institutions of art & culture, famous residences, and eateries.
