Computer Science Team Places at Programming Contest
Dalton's Computer Science team competed in the twenty-sixth Annual Invitational High School Programming Contest at St. Bonaventure University on Friday March 21, 2014. The Dalton team solved seven out of nine problems, tying them for second place. The Dalton team ultimately finished in third place since time was used as a factor in the event of a time breaker.
The problem sets that the teams had to solve were very challenging. This year's problem sets required teams to determine when to take a vacation, to identify features in an image, to compute discounts based upon store loyalty cards, and to verify statistical analyses.
The students representing the Dalton team were: Tegh Bala '15, Liam Glass '15, Zach Buttenweiser '15 and Sam Stone '14.
