High School and First Program Students Investigate Squids
High school students taking a 9th grade Evolutionary Biology course, shared their expertise in helping first graders dissect a squid. Their challenge was to compare the exterior and interior structure of a squid to the snails that they have been observing in their science classes. Using evidence gathered from the dissection, first graders arrived at the conclusion that both snails and squid belong to the phylum, Mollusca. A special thanks to science teachers Lisa Brizzolara and Michael Sloan Warren.
