5 Dalton Students Present Research at New York Science and Engineering Fair
Five Dalton Science Research Program (DSRP) students braved yet another snowstorm to attend the New York Science and Engineering Fair (NYCSEF) at the City College of New York on Sunday, March 1. Nearly 600 students, selected from entrants who submitted research papers, presented their independent research projects to judges. Dalton Senior Brian Zhao and Juniors Simone Braunstein, Jacob Joergens, Sophie Rogers, and Michael Won were selected by NYCSEF to represent Dalton in this event. Will Findley and Lisa Brizzolara oversaw their applications and participation as part of the DSRP program.
The New York City Science and Engineering Fair, the largest high school research competition in NYC, is sponsored by the New York City Department of Education and the City University of New York. The fair provides a supportive, academic venue for students to present their research, network with other NYC high school students, and meet leading scientists and science professionals from around the metropolitan area. NYCSEF builds on the long-standing collaboration between the New York City Department of Education and the City University of New York College Now program and offers a distinctive educational opportunity for students across the five boroughs.
