Dalton Places in Top 10 at New York State Science Olympiad

Fifteen Dalton Students competed in the New York State Science Olympiad competition over weekend of March 13-14, 2025. Dalton’s team received medals in three events for placing in the top 10 out of 54 schools. Please join me in congratulating these medal winners:
5th Place - Cell Biology: Alia Richardson '15 and Brian Zhao '15
5th Place - Protein Modeling: Alia Richardson '15, Brian Zhao '15, and Elias Oakes '16
4th Place - Write it Do It: Alia Richardson '15 and Eleanor Seiler '17
 
Alia and Brian are the first Dalton students in my experience to medal in multiple events at the state tournament.

14th Place - Bridge Building: Jake Multer '16 and Elias Oakes '16
16th Place - Experimental Design: Alia Richardson '15, Celine Guan '15, and Emily Cohen '16
18th Place - Game On: Ella Tessier-Lavigne '16 and Zach Buttenwieser '15
20th Place - Mission Possible: Georgia Gallant '17 and Eleanor Seiler '17; based on the initial design by Maisie Fisher '17 and Swarup Dhar '18
15th Place - Technical Problem Solving: Teddy Katz '15 and Zach Buttenwieser '15
