While watching the episode, students acquired vocabulary related to preparing tacos de canasta, as well as the cinema industry. Following their viewing, students completed their first project of the school year, in which they assumed the role of Pablo Cruz, the director of the episode. They were interviewed by a movie critic about the process of making tacos and the cultural impact of los tacos de canasta. To bring the conclusion of this unit to life, the High Schoolers spent time in the Teaching Kitchen with the help of Chef Jaz to make tortillas. ¡Qué rico!
