Feed the People: MS and HS Service Learning Partnership
Last week, Dalton 7th graders partnered with Feed the People NYC to learn about the organization’s mission-driven goals to help reduce food insecurity in NYC, learn more about the growing homeless population, reduce food waste at Dalton, and support food banks, soup kitchens, and community fridges.
The 7th graders then worked with their House Advisors and Feed the People HS students to make sandwiches to donate to the Holmes Towers Community Fridge on 92nd Street. Feed the People, led by Lucas Choe ‘25 and Mouhamed Toure '25, engaged the students in reflections on their learning and service, and brainstormed next steps to support the food insecure in their communities.
