Dalton Faculty Gather to Focus on STEAM at Black Rock Forest
Fifteen-faculty members gathered at Black Rock Forest in the Hudson Highlands to engage in a cross-divisional interdisciplinary conversation about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM)-based teaching and learning. Organized by Kate Fenner, Middle School Science, and Lotus Do, High School Art, the group escaped from November 6 to November 8, for a professional development opportunity that featured a visit to the Storm King Art Center, science and history-themed nature hikes, and faculty-led workshops and discussions, including a water-color painting class and a talk on the future of bio-pigmentation.
