Students in House 41 Create New NYC MetroCard Designs
The students in House 41 studied all forms of transportation in New York City. While studying about the subway system, they became acquainted with subway maps, stations, tile mosaics found in the stations. The students learned about the introduction of the MetroCard. It was introduced to enhance the technology of the transit system and eliminate the burden of carrying and collecting tokens. It was unanimous that the students thought the current design was bland and did not reflect the dynamic environment of NYC.
The "New and Improved" MetroCard designs will be on display on the MTA Transit Museum website. Please enjoy the designs.
