Dalton Authors Night Brings Together Authors to Discuss The Art of The Memoir

Dalton community gathered at the 89th Street Library on Tuesday, April 18 for Authors Night.  The topic this year was “The Art of the Memoir” and featured an evening with four renowned, award-winning authors.  Gretchen Rubin (The Happiness Project) moderated the panel on memoir and personal history with panelists, A.M. Homes "The Mistress’s Daughter," Rosanne Cash "Composed: A Memoir," and Abigail Pogrebin "My Jewish Year: 18 Holidays, One Wondering Jew".

It was a rare gathering of four gifted writers who were open and candid in their discussion about what it’s like to essentially ‘live your life out loud’.   The moderated panel was followed by a lively Q&A with audience members and the entire program was notable for the honest and revealing conversation amongst the authors.  After the panel, attendees continued the discussion over wine and cheese and authors stayed on to sign their books which were available for purchase.
