Community Life & Diversity Committee Kick-Off: Respectful Conversations Across Lines of Differences
Over 35 parents attended the CL&D’s first meeting of the year, Tuesday, October 17. Guest speaker, Anne Marie McFadyen from the New York Peace Institute, focused on ways to reduce barriers to having open, respectful dialogue with others across difference. Participants explored a range of useful discussion tools and techniques to be used within the Dalton community, and in our daily lives.
CL&D is open to all parents and organizes parent-relevant equity and diversity programming for the community to help promote a more equitable learning environment at Dalton. Please mark your calendars and join us at our next event on December 5, 8:15 AM. All are welcome!
