The Community Service Committee supports school-wide programs of community service and provides Dalton families with the opportunity to participate in community giving and community action. The committee serves to provide a volunteer foundation for projects developed by children, families, faculty, staff, and administration. Community service projects provide children with experience in serving their communities and evoke in them a sense of accomplishment and gratification as they learn that individuals can make a difference in the growth and future of their community and natural environment. The Community Service Committee initiates projects, assists in the facilitation of programs and activities, works with the faculty to integrate community service into the curriculum, and coordinates with the Dean of Students to maximize High School community service opportunities. The Community Service Committee also provides volunteers to implement programs and projects and to participate in community service activities at the school.
