Celebrating Chinese New Year and Chinese Lantern Festival
Students, parents, and teachers gathered to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Chinese Lantern Festival.
With an amazing turnout and palpable enthusiasm, Dalton volunteers transformed the school cafeteria on Thursday, February 21 into amazing displays and interactive stations for attendees to experience traditional elements of Chinese New Year as well as the upcoming Lantern Festival. The night included:
- Musical performances from the winners of this year's Chinese karaoke contest
- An assortment of dumplings, noodles, and tasty Chinese delicacies
- Lantern making stations
- Calligraphy lessons
- Jianzi, AKA Chinese shuttlecocks
- Fortune wheels
- A fishing pond lottery
