At Dalton, we’re proud to do our part to serve our planet.
Now, more than ever, waste reduction is critically important. According to studies, the United States’ recycling rate hovers around 34.5%. Dramatically increasing our recycling rate to 75%, would be comparable to removing 50 million passenger cars from U.S. roads.
While waste reduction may seem daunting at a global level, making an impact in our daily lives can be done -- without large, earth-shattering strategies. For example, individuals at Dalton community can do their part with small, intentional changes to their everyday routine.
Did you know that the average US office worker goes through an astounding 500 disposable cups annually? To reduce our paper cup usage, Dalton’s Business and Advancement Offices recently hosted a Mug-A-Thon party where team members brought in their favorite, ugliest, or most hysterical mug. We hope other community members will be inspired to do the same!
Dalton is proud to offer a variety of environmentally-focused programs throughout the community, including our:
