In recent weeks, House 32 students emulated the real-world building process by planning, designing and building models of their classroom table areas. Using Unit Blocks and working collaboratively in groups of 4 to 6 students, they practiced and strengthened their negotiation skills as they built their tables. In the final step, students drew themselves using paper and colored pencils, crayolas, etc. to create a figure to use in dramatic play. Students and their figures visited and explored each other’s tables.
