Goodman House (Class of 2028) created a chain-story during Library class as our first step of investigating how Google (and other search engines) works! We decided to make the whole story present tense.
My mom always tells me to NEVER open this particular closet in my apartment.
She says that the closet is haunted! I never believes what she says. She says that there are skeletons & zombies in it. I always try to open but it is locked. It has 7 locks on it -- I don’t know why but I bet there are keys to them. One day, I drop my pencil under my bed and I see a pair of keys. I figure that these could match the locks to the closet and I know I have to unlock the door tonight. That night I try the keys but they don't work. I figure that my mom has put them there under my bed to trick me. Then I think about going to my mom’s room and looking in all the drawers. I still can't find them in any of the drawers. I take my mom to the hospital to perform surgery on her to see if she has swallowed the keys. She didn’t swallow the keys and I try to pull on the locks and one of them breaks -- they aren't really strong locks. This lock is the master lock that opens all of them -- and inside the closet I find my mom’s secret stash of Halloween candies.
All of the candies fall on top of me and I hear my mom’s footsteps. I quickly look for somewhere to hide and behind the candies I see a tiny little door just big enough for me to fit behind. But then when I turn the knob - the door slams open and something grabs me and pulls me through. I see the hand right away -- and know it was my dad’s. But then, my dad pulls off a mask -- and it is my MOM
-- but I still hear my mom’s footsteps from outside the closet!
