WE ACT visits HS Elective Thinking Globally, Acting Locally

Taylor Morton, of WE ACT, visited students in the HS elective Thinking Globally, Acting Locally. Students discussed power, privilege and intersectionality in the environmental justice movement.
WE ACT often focuses its work in Upper Manhattan where air and noise pollution disproportionately impact residents. Air and noise pollution are often contributing factors to higher rates of certain diseases and disorders. She highlighted that service work done in NYC frequently impacts public housing residents who are regularly exposed to environmental hazards. Ms. Morton discussed the importance of amplifying the voices of those who have less power and privilege.

The Dalton School would like to thank Ms. Morton for her time. If you would like to learn more about WE ACT, please visit
