Delicious Community Celebration at Benefit 2020 “Dinner with Dalton”
When our planned spring gala was no longer possible, we decided to make “lemonade from lemons” at our virtual Dinner with Dalton!
And what a night it was thanks to our talented community members! Thanks to our visionary Creative Director Randi Sloan it all came together with a strong assist from Video Producers Jim Zulakis and Eric Loy and Event Director Jessica Torres Rosa.
Head of School Jim Best got into the spirit of the night welcoming all wearing a chef’s toque. It was a feast for the eyes and the ears: from comedy (thank you Dalton parent and Emcee Mikey Day) to cocktail creations (thank you Dalton parent and Mixologist Neil Patrick Harris) to a delectable amuse bouche (thank you Dalton parent and Chef David Burtka) to a delicious appetizer (thank you Chef J. Kenji Lopez-Alt ’98) to a sumptuous entree (thank you Chef Andrew Zimmern ’79) to a yummy dessert (thank you Baker Dorie Greenspan P’97) to our solo performers (thank you Ashley LaLonde ’16, Camellia Hartman ’12, Odetta Hartman ’07, and our vocalists Alex Bertrand, Faculty, Malcolm Cox ’19, Eric Dickstein ’17, Tejashree Gopal ’14, Michael Goldstrom ’92, Justin Greer, Faculty, Gracie Lawrence ’15, Barnabas Miller ’90, Lily Claire Nussbaum ’05, Benjamin Park-Kouh ’19, Caitlin Quinlan ’10, Shobana Ram, Faculty, Sage Ross ’13, Anton Schwartz ’85, Nate Sloan ’04, David Skeist ’98, Sarah Skeist ’05, and Arianna Zukerman Sekulow ’90.
About 3,000 community members joined “Dinner for Dalton” — the biggest gathering in the history of the school! If you missed the dinner bell, check out the entire “Dinner with Dalton” here .
As Jim Best wrote in his message to the community: “In the end, the Benefit is meant to support Dalton, especially our families who have been in financial distress. Our Campaign and Annual Fund — both with wrap up on June 30— are now dedicated to financial assistance and community support.” Thanks to those of you who have already given.
