Dalton's Second Community Co-Lab

High School Community Service Coordinators Yom Fox and Doug Berns teamed up with First Program coordinators Alexandra Nakos, Julia Henderson, and Christine Nassar for the much anticipated sequel to the Dalton Community Co-Lab on Wednesday, February 10.
At the Co-Lab, four high school students lead First Program students in fun remote activities. Tyler Phillip ’22 and Adeline Lopez ’24 kicked things off with two exciting workshops. Tyler led the First Program squad in some fun Valentine’s Day origami, showing students how to create beautiful pieces of art with a simple palette of paper, scissors, and markers. Adeline led her second sing-along, warming up the young voices and segueing into a bevy of classic hits.

Eliza Goldstein ’22 and Eli Diker ’23 lead the second round. Eliza continued the afternoon’s artistic theme, helping students make custom friendship bracelets and see into the future with some classic paper “fortune tellers.” Eli led his group in playing some online board games and trivia on Kahoot and topped things off with a dazzling magic trick.

With over 70 attendees at a given time, the Dalton Community Co-Lab was a hit! Participants in both divisions brought energy and joy to the event.

A special thank you to faculty members Yom Fox, Alexandra Nakos, Julia Henderson, Christine Nassar, and our four HS volunteers for making this second Co-Lab a great success!
