Third Grade Records Live Musical
Third grade students performed in a Covid-19 safe, socially-distanced live musical performance broadcast on May 27.
The musical is based on Raul Colon’s wordless book Imagine!, a story about a young child inspired by the various works of art at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
As part of this community-building experience, children participated in a collaborative creative process that developed responsibility, cooperation, persistence, and pride in accomplishing a difficult task.
First Program Dance/Theater Specialist Justin Greer, who produced the musical said, “We are so excited to be able to present this unique world premiere experience. The children worked extremely hard, and I am so proud of them!”
