Ellen Stein Welcomes Faculty & Staff to the 2021-2022 Academic Year
Dalton's faculty and staff gathered in the Martin Theater at 89th Street with Interim Head of School Ellen Stein on Monday, August 30 for the annual opening meeting.
Ellen began by applauding Dalton's faculty and staff saying that she continues to be inspired by their work, their understanding of children, and their impact on students each day.
She also thanked the school's New Lab for their tech support throughout the summer and gave Building Services a well-deserved shout-out for preparing Dalton's facilities for our students' return.
In an annual tradition, Ellen acknowledged faculty and staff who celebrated milestone years, including Middle and High School Visual Arts Teacher and Middle School Art Department Chair Linda Hanauer who reached her 45th anniversary at Dalton!
Ellen spoke about the school-wide goals for the year, which she also outlined in her Welcome Message sent to families last week. She's excited to return to Dalton and is optimistic about the year ahead!
