Daniel Kaplan '28 Earns Scope Magazine National Writing Honor
For the second time this school year, Scholastic’s Scope Magazine recognized a Dalton student as an honoree, naming 6th grader Daniel Kaplan '28 as a winner of its national writing contest.
Daniel wrote his article about three teenagers who invented HydroAlert. The judges said Daniel's work was "informative and interesting to read!" They especially enjoyed his introduction.
Thousands of students from across the country enter Scope’s writing contests. We are so proud of Daniel’s accomplishment! He is looking forward to using his prize to shop for his next independent reading book in the Scholastic Store.
