New York Chinese Cultural Center Performs at MS Assembly
The Mandarin Department hosted the New York Chinese Cultural Center (NYCCC) at the Middle School Assembly on Wednesday, April 13. NYCCC delivered two entrancing performances of classical Chinese dances and martial arts.
The in-person performances included the lion dance, the handkerchief dance, the umbrella dance, a martial arts show and workshop, and a ribbon dance workshop with student participation!
Students in Grades 4-8 enjoyed interacting with the lion, learning Mandarin phrases, martial arts, and the ribbon dance with the guest performers.
