Mushroom Mania! 5th Grade Cooks Mushroom Soup for Community Refrigerators
Fifth Grade Health classes cooked up batches of mushroom medley soup in the Teaching Kitchen on Wednesday to deliver to local community refrigerators here in Manhattan.
The students chopped and prepared the ingredients, using a variety of mushrooms including king trumpet, cremini, and lobster. While the soup cooked, the 5th Graders designed cartons with fun notes.
In total, nearly 100 soups were served and delivered!
