First Grade Celebrates Earth Day by Donating Reusable Bags
In celebration of Earth Day, the entire First Grade hand-delivered reusable grocery bags to Morton Williams on April 22.

The students used funds raised from this year’s Walk-A-Thon to purchase 200 reusable tote bags. After learning about Earth Day and best practices for keeping the community and environment clean, the students each decorated two "green tip" sheets about their service project to spread awareness about what everyone can do to protect our planet.
The students used funds raised from this year’s Walk-A-Thon to purchase 200 reusable tote bags. After learning about Earth Day and best practices for keeping the community and environment clean, the students each decorated two "green tip" sheets about their service project to spread awareness about what everyone can do to protect our planet.
After preparing the bags students enjoyed a walk to a local Morton Williams where they presented the bags to a cashier for distribution to lucky customers.
The kids were very excited to see the bags being put to use before they even left the store!
