Music Department Co-Chair Bill Solomon Performs in Germany
Music Department Co-Chair and MS/HS Percussion Teacher Bill Solomon recently performed at the Donaueschingen Festival in Germany. The prestigious festival is considered the oldest for contemporary classical music in the world and invites ensembles and composers from around the world to the small German town of Donaueschingen.
Bill joined the New York-based Talea Ensemble at the festival performing percussion and drum set. Talea gave four world premieres of ensemble pieces by composers from Italy, Germany, UK, and Poland. Talea Ensemble specializes in contemporary and experimental classical music.
