Iris Mou '27 Captures North American Girls U20 Chess Title
Congratulations to Dalton 8th grader Iris Mou '27 who won the North American Girls Chess Under 20 Championship on December 6 in Mexico City!
Iris captured the championship in the nine-round event, which began on December 2, to earn the title of Woman International Master – her first Woman Grandmaster’s (WGM) norm.
“I'm immensely proud of Iris and all of our students,” remarked Director of the Chess Program Beatriz Marinello. “Iris worked incredibly hard to become the #1 player Under 13 Girl in the USA and a Woman International Master.”
