Dalton’s Model Congress team attended its final traveling conference of the year at Harvard Model Congress in Boston from February 23-26. Captains Simrin Mehra ’23, George Porteous ’23, Eli Kronenberg ’23, and faculty chaperones guided the team of 31 delegates to a resounding victory!
The team spent four days competing and collaborating with over 1,500 students from across the country in simulated courts, cabinets, and congressional committees, such as the Supreme Court or House Foreign Affairs committee. Posing as members of Congress and various political figures, delegates crafted bills and resolutions. Owing to their in-depth research on issues of U.S. public and foreign policy, 26 students received individual awards, including 18 who won the award of “Best Delegate” in their committee.
The team left with a deeper understanding of policy, new friends from across the country, and more awards than any other delegation.
