MS Students from 4th-8th Grades gathered for an assembly on Tuesday, May 9 for National Poetry Month, an annual celebration that began in 1996. Students met Tova Greene, Programs Director at The Poetry Society of New York, and learned about the history of poetry in New York City. Ms. Greene also spoke about the Poetry in Motion® initiative, launched in 1992. Students enjoyed poetry performances from visiting poets along with readings by budding poets Gemma Rathore '29, Jacob Feuerstein '29, Emilia Dassori '28, and Tiger Patton '27.
